Is there any forum/network to connect with people interviewing at MBB right now to check for same interview partners and exchange on specific cases asked in interviews?
Platform to exchange on specific interviewers

Hi,
First of all congrats on making it to the interview rounds!
Continuing with the line of other experts who replied, it would be very difficult to do.
Most interview rounds happen in a few days, with multiple interviewers using different cases. For example, at BCG my interviewers had to design their own case based on practical experience, so even if you knew the case you couldn’t find it anywhere.
In any case, I would also advise against it for 2 reasons:
1. It doesn’t really matter, if you‘ve practiced enough, with quality cases, the actual question you get in the interview shouldn’t matter. You should be well equipped to answer any question you’re faced with.
2. If you do know in advance, there‘s an honesty issue. You have the moral obligation to let your interviewer know you‘ve seen the case before. If you solve the case as if it’s new to you, and they catch on, you would be in a very tough spot to explain why you kept solving it if you already know it.
So to conclude, I would focus on getting the quantity and quality of case practice needed to solve any case and any question you’re faced with in an interview.
There are many coaches on this website to help you achieve that, me included.
Feel free to reach out, and best of luck,

Not to my knowledge.
These firms are so big, and they conduct so many interviews at the same time that it's virtually impossible to coordinate this.
Plus, some interviewers have multiple cases that they use and they cycle them.
But, even if this were possible, I would strongly advise against it.
Consultants are very good BS sniffers. I could tell from a mile away if you already know the case just by how much time you take and how you think through it. So, trying to get your hands on the case before the interview, even if it would work, would like to blow up in your face.
Last but not least, even if the case might be the same, the way the interviewer guides you through the case and the sub-questions that they might ask are different. So, once again, there's little purpose in trying to figure out what cases they have.
Best,
Cristian

Hi there,
I don't know about any platform doing this but if it exist it will not last very long for several reasons:
- MBB cases are intellectual property protected so it would be illegal
- Any time MBB identifies a case has been leaked, they remove it from the library and replace it with a new one
- Normally, interviewers are asked to change their cases every few months to avoid exactly this
Make sure to focus on your preparation and nailing every interview situation you may face.
Best,
Alberto

Please focus your energy on learning how to solve any case type in any scenario.
That's what you'll have to do on the job. That's what you'll have to do in the interview.

Dos and Don'ts in a Case Interview

Hi there,
Nikita is 100% correct!
You need to learn how to solve cases with a robust methodology, not try to hack your way through the interview.
I would even go so far as to say that if you have seen a case before but have not internalized the right skills to think and communicate, you would still not be able to pass because case interviews are all about showing the excellence of your thinking.
If you merely replicate what you have read somewhere, you are not communicating your thinking, nor showing any exceptional problem-solving skills. Interviewers pick this up immediately and poke holes through your arguments in no time.
Cheers,
Florian

Hi there,
Note that interviews typically happen on the same day so there won't be much of an opportunity to understand the case(s) used in advance.
Cheers,
B.

Hey,
It's more efficient to actually learn how to solve cases instead of trying to figure out a particular case and memorise it.
Even if you know the case, the interviewer may change some conditions so you'll be at a loss anyway. Besides, don't think that just knowing the correct answer you'll get a pass. Case interview is aimed to test how you think and approach structuring / analysis. You can't hide your true level from an experienced interviewer.
Regards,
Nick
