PhD to consulting pathway. How can I start prepping for it?

I'm a rising second-year PhD student (STEM) at MIT and did my undergrad at UPenn. I'm not particularly interested in wet lab work and am looking to hopefully transition into consulting after my PhD. I'm considering joining the consulting club at MIT and applying to the bridge programs in my 4th year.

In terms of extracurriculars outside school, I lead a theater group with ~10 performers in MA, plan the budgeting, recruit members, hold auditions, plan events, and all of that.

I was wondering how I can prepare a competitive resume for both the bridge programs and full-time roles? What activities could help? Also, I'm an international student on an F-1 visa, does that make things challenging?

Thank you!
