how would you calculate the numer of surgery made in an year in the US (in numer of units not dollar value)?

Hi,
It's simple:
- Split the population by age groups (pls check any case book with sizing cases if you don't know how to do that)
- Assign probabilities for each age group to have surgery (Probably higher when you are young and old)
- Calculate the number of surgeries per year per each age group dividing by the number of years in the group
- Multiply by the number of people in each age group and sum everything up
- Make an assumption about additional markets: tourists and patients coming to the US specifically for the surgery
