Hi,

A high score indicates a very strong chance of getting invited to the interview rounds. However, they will also take your CV into consideration.

Are you still waiting for HR/Recruiting to get back to you?

It's normal to wait a couple of weeks due to a backlog, but if they haven't gotten back to you in over 4 weeks - I'd reach out to HR/Recruiting team.

Hi Hafeezah, I have not applied yet as the deadline is in July, but I'll definitely reach out to HR after 4 weeks!

Hi,
congrats! A 9/10 on Solve is a strong score and definitely keeps you in the running. McKinsey uses Solve as one part of a broader screening process (CV, school, achievements). While it's not a guarantee, a 9/10 should be competitive for a first-round invite, especially if the rest of your application is solid.

Best of luck!

Hey there,

A 9/10 score on McKinsey's Solve assessment is certainly a strong result and should put you in a good position for securing a first-round interview, particularly for the Summer Business Analyst internship. However, McKinsey's selection process is competitive, and while a high score on Solve is important, they also take other factors into account, such as your CV, academic background, and overall fit with the firm.

If you haven't already, consider following up with any connections you may have at McKinsey for additional insights or potential referrals, which can also help strengthen your application.

Keep your preparation up, and best of luck!

Best regards,
Alessa

It means you have a strong chance. Nevertheless they will consider the whole profile and their recruiting needs.

Typically yes, but honestly, it depends on the office, the role, the cycle, so many things that there is no official cut-off point.

You can only wait, I'm afraid.

Fingers crossed!
Best,
