McKinsey Sea Wolf Scoring

Hi All,

Is anyone aware of how McKinsey grades Sea Wolf? I understand it is mainly based on your end scores out of 100% for each site, but do they take anything else into consideration? For instance, characteristics selection, which microbes your rejected and which ones you took in (regardless if you achieved 100%) etc.

Any guidance would help a lot.

Hello ! Overall yes, the 100% matters most, however you will also take a 20% penalty per condition/trait you miss in your final 3-microbe selection.

Which microbes you rejected does matter — the assessment tracks your full click/decision pattern (revisions, backtracking, time per step) as a separate "process efficiency" signal, even if you land on the same final score as someone else.
It's percentile-based, not absolute — you are ranked against the global candidate pool, not a fixed pass mark, so a clean 80% with an efficient process likely beats a messy path to 100%.
Even internally we do not know the exact criteria, and I suspect that these change with time / needs.
