McKinsey Recruitment Questions

Hello there,

I had a couple questions relating to Mckinsey recruitment. First, I applied last year to the Sophomore Summer Business Analyst role but was rejected by email after taking the Imbellus online test. Can I apply to the Junior Summer BA internship even if it is within a year (by around 2 weeks)?

Also, I am expecting a partner referral but a BA just referred me through the system even though I am not applying for 2 months. Will the BA referral expire and will it prevent the partner from referring?

Hi there,

Timeline-wise it should be fine
Your resume needs to demonstrate significant improvements in 2/4 areas (e.g., new internship with a reputable company in a relevant area like business strategy or finance)
This depends on the office but in the worst case, the partner can always send an email to HR with the same effect
