McKinsey New "Accelerate" Practice

Hello, I saw on McKinsey website a new practice called "accelerate". Any insights on how different it is from implementation and transformation practice?

McKinsey Accelerate is a practice or a group, consisting of senior industry experts who work on Acclerating the transformation programs at the clients so that the client realises full potential of the transformation.

A lot of large scale transformation programs fail or do not achieve expected potential or do not move at the expected pace. Accelerate practice is conceived to work in these cases.

Most of the McKinsey Accelerate leadership is from Implementation or Transformation background (check: https://www.mckinsey.com/business-functions/mckinsey-accelerate/our-people).

But the intent seems to be to build a specialised practice that can leverage knowledge, tools from implementation, transformation and other sector aligned practices to accelerate major transformation initiatives at the client.

Hope this helps! All the best!
