McKinsey Imbellus Game

Hi!

For Building the Food Chain,

Should we click into every species to take notes, for example if we would like to find which is the highest predator, we assume based on the animal name we think most likely would be the highest predator and pick?

Or do we need to still click into all species, to confirm which are the highest predators, then choose which highest predator among them that needs the least calories?

Would clicking into all the species come off as unstructured or not prioritized?

But if we do not click into all species, how will we know then how many highest predators do we have and which are they?

Thank you!

Hi there,

(i) Should we click into every species to take notes, for example if we would like to find which is the highest predator, we assume based on the animal name we think most likely would be the highest predator and pick?

No, this is not a good strategy

(ii) Or do we need to still click into all species, to confirm which are the highest predators, then choose which highest predator among them that needs the least calories?

This is also not a good strategy

(iii) Would clicking into all the species come off as unstructured or not prioritized?

Very likely yes. Besides that, you will spend a lot more time than needed, as you follow the right strategy you don’t have to click on all of them.

(iv) But if we do not click into all species, how will we know then how many highest predators do we have and which are they?

I created a video as part of my guide exactly on that, showing how to create a chain in 16 minutes thanks to an automated excel (included in the guide). You can find more here:

For other questions please feel free to PM me, I will reply within 12 hours.

Hi there,

This is indeed an interesting question which is probably relevant for quite a lot of users, so I am happy to provide my perspective on it:

  • First of all, it seems like you have a lot of questions regarding the McKinsey Imbellus and thus opened several new threads which is totally fine. Still, please feel free to contact me directly in order to receive answers to all of your questions.
  • Unfortunately, there is no possibility to filter species based on the criteria selected. Thus, you would need to click through all species until you have identified all 13 (3 “Producers and 10 ”Animals") with the same criteria.
  • Therefore, I have created an excel tool that may assist you with all possible games of the McKinsey Imbellus. I would be more than happy to work with and help you ace the McKinsey Imbellus.

In case you want a more detailed discussion on how to best prepare the McKinsey Imbellus game without expensive and often times outdated guides, please feel free to contact me directly.

I hope this helps,

Hagen

Hi! Thank you. I thought we should choose 8 Species? Why 13?

You are right that you need to choose 8 in the end. Yet, there are 3 "Producers" and 10 "Animals" with the same stats thus you will need to form a sustainable ecosystem of 8 out of 13 species.

Hi!

You should definitely check out all the species before selecting them!

Don't hesitate to reach out if you want to know more about Imbellus. I've developed specific sessions on how to crack it.

Good luck,

Anto
