Mckinsey Final Round: Hearing back later than other candidates

I interviewed for a final round with Mckinsey this Friday for their summer intern position. I have not yet heard back from Mckinsey either by email or call. However, other candidates both for full-time and internship who interviewed on the same day at the same office have said that they heard back for an offer. Is this a worrying sign?

It's often more dependent on the interviewer in charge of calling you. I would give it a few more days before starting to worry.

Fingers crossed!

Hey there,

I'd rather say that the person, who is supposed to give you feedback had a very busy afternoon and had no time to call yet.

You should receive their call shortly. Fingers crossed!

Cheers,

Florian

Hey, have patience. Whether the news is positive or negative - you will hear back from them regardless. Wait it out - only one way to find out. We can only speculate.

Hi there,

It is not a great sign if others already heard back and received an offer. However, doesn’t mean you won’t get one. Possible reasons for the delay are:

  • Your interviewer was busy and could not call you
  • Your interviewers needed to discuss your case and did not have time for that

McKinsey is pretty quick in providing replies, so I guess they will reach out soon. I understand it is a pain to wait but that’s the only thing you can do now.

Best,

Francesco

Hi there,

It has been 0 business days since you interviewed…

Please practice patience here as any number of factors could be reasons for delay. I would wait a full week before reaching out.

Fingeres crossed for you!

Hello,

Don't worry too much about it - it most likely just means that the person who is supposed to call you has been tied up with something. I suspect you will get a call or an email quite soon if other candidates are hearing already. If it's been over a week and you still haven't heard, then you could reach out to HR.
