MBB Final round results timeline & Call with Staffing

Had my last round of interviews last week and was invited for a quick staffing & PD call with the related head of the department. However still no official response.

Any views on that?

Thank you in advance! 🙂

Hi there,

First of all, congratulations on going through the entire application process!

I would be happy to share my thoughts on your question:

  • First of all, being invited for a staffing and PD call is usually a good sign - it usually happens after a successful final interview round, not before, so this is positive. I would advise you to take that as a soft signal of success.
  • Moreover, delays in official communication are common, especially in summer - internal approvals and admin can take longer than expected. I would advise you to wait until the middle of this week and then send a polite follow-up to the recruiter.
  • Lastly, I would strongly advise you to keep your options open and not pause other processes just yet - until you get a written offer, nothing is final.

If you would like a more detailed discussion on your specific situation, please don't hesitate to contact me directly.

Best,

Hagen

Hi! Usually, the staffing and PD call happens after you’ve received confirmation or contract details. Getting a quick positive response is common once interviews are done. Then the contract, then staffing & PD call.

If you haven’t heard anything official yet, it might be worth a polite follow-up to check in.

Hope you get good news soon! :)

Cheers,
Kevin

Hi there,

Don't read too much into it.

It could mean anything.

Hope you get good news. If they provide you with feedback on the last round, make sure you note it down, and if it's vague, try to ask follow up questions so you understand what you need to work on in the future (if applicable).

Best,
Cristian

Hi!

That’s odd. Reach out to HR to understand the timeline for the final answer.

Hi!

That staffing/PD call is usually a very positive sign, it often happens right before or alongside an offer, especially if they’re already thinking about project fit. Sometimes HR takes a bit longer to finalize things or align internal approvals.

You’re likely in the “yes” or “strong maybe” camp, hang tight a few more days, and feel free to nudge your recruiter if nothing comes by mid-week!

best,
Alessa :)

It can take a bit of time to receive the final response, even after the final round.

The waiting is painful but do try to stay patient.
