I am currently a PhD student in Bioengineering in the US (top 10 ivy). I am preparing for my MBB applications for 2028~2029 and hope to do consulting in life science and exit to industry. I have some questions toward ADP hire in GC offices (Shanghai, Beijing, Shenzhen). For more BG, I am a Chinese citizen and finished my undergraduate and master in US Ivy as well. Thank you all in advance for the valuable information!
1: I know there are ADP summer programs in the US (no in GC). Will those summer programs in the US help upon interviewing GC offices? like skipping the first round interview?
2: What is the rough hire count in GC offices recently? Is it better to apply GC office directly or apply US offices and then transfer back after several years?
3: Will US background PhDs be favored or local PhDs, for GC office life science team.
4: Is networking important in GC offices? I know some previous PhDs in my programs who work in MBB in the US offices while I got nearly no connections to GC officies.
