Looking for BCG A/SA as an ex-BCG

Hello,
I was with BCG Asia for more than 2 years in the Vantage team and left in 2025 to pursue my Masters in Cambridge and I wanted to join BCG London after that. I thought I'd have some preference or advantage over others as an ex-BCG, however, I was told that I'll have to go through the process like everyone else. 

1. Is there no preference given to ex-employees?
2. Is there any easier or better route to join the BCG London Consulting track as an ex-employee?
3. I gave the online test this year and couldn't clear it and have been put on a 12 month cool down period. However, the role I want has opened again and I really want to apply for it as I want to have a job by Oct end or latest by Dec end.
4. I am currently on a student visa till Oct'26 and after that I can get Graduate Visa but I'd like to have some kind of assurity before I commit a huge amount. Open for any advice around that.
