Advanced degree candidate (MD) here who noticed that Oliver Wyman has started recruiting for life science consultants. This seems to be a fairly recent development as they just acquired the life science strategy portion of Huron in 2021, and from what I gathered they didn't really hire for life science consultants in the past. Can anyone with knowledge speak to the culture/ types of work that I will do at Oliver Wyman as a life science consultant there? Thank you!

I've coached multiple life sciences consultants across both MBB and specialised firms (though not at OW specifically). You can expect the work to be rather similar across these firms.
However, if you specifically want to understand how it is at OW, I'd suggest you reach out via LinkedIn to some of the consultants who already work there. This is a great opportunity to network and build knowledge and you might even get a referral in the process.

This is a new development so I can't speak to the exact culture or types of projects, but I would have to imagine it would be “classic” life science projects (pipeline optimization, drug development, product launch etc.)
