L.E.K interview

Hi there,

Did anyone here actually participate in a L.E.K interview for consultant positions? Could you please tell me:

1. What types of interview are they? Interviewee-led or interviewer-led?

2. What topics should I focus on?

3. Are the case similar to the online resources they sent or they are like ten times more difficult than the three short cases on their websites?

4. How can you answer when they ask you: Why L.E.K? I mean they are prestigous, but what differentiate them from other tier2/MBBs?

Thank you very much for your help!

I interviewed with them a few years ago:

In answer to your questions:
1. My experience (1st round) was interviewee led. They asked open ended, unstructured case questions

2. Typical case interview situations (e.g. M&A, profitability, market entry, cost reduction, international market growth, new product development)

3. Similar difficulty as what you'd expect advanced cases on prep lounge

4. They are very much a CDD house. Serving top private equity firms. They are solid in life sciences too and have a distinct business line / area for that

HI Asim, thank you for your reply. Regarding question 4, do they also focus on strategy consulting? I do some research and L.E.K is said to be one of the "purely strategy" firm. Do you know what is the proportion of "strategy work" and " CDD work" in the firm?
