Is it common to get rejected in the 3rd round(MCKINSEY)? I mean — if I’ve already passed 3 interviews, the firm must see something good in me, so are the odds more in my favor at this stage?

Yes, rejection in the final round is still quite common... Making it there means the firm sees strong potential, but partners use the last step to assess consistency, senior presence, and whether they’d be comfortable putting you in front of clients. Odds are definitely better than at the start, but it’s not a formality..you still need to perform well.

best, Alessa :)

Yes, it is fairly common.

If it weren't... there wouldn't be a 3rd round, would it?

They're looking for consistency. Of course, if you passed 3 interviews, it looks like you are reasonably consistent, so it's more a matter of not having a low performance in one specific topic/interview part.

Also, at this point they're going to be more demanding regarding PEI, which you should prepare in a thorough way.
