Is Bain still hiring laterally?

Hi there,

I shot a quick note to a friend in one of the Nordic offices and he said that hiring has generally slowed but there are some pinch points (senior manager, senior associate consultant) were they'd look at high quality candidates.

Only one data point so take it with a grain of salt.

My understanding is yes. It does depend on which exact role, and, please remember, everything changes month-to-month. Your job is to network to get the most up-to-date information for your specific situation. And, to apply and strike when the iron is hot. Please don't rely on ads.

The best source of knowledge on the status of recruiting for a particular office and a particular role is the actual recruiter for that office. 

So don't hesitate to reach out to them.

If you saw an ad, then they are recruiting. It may be for a single position though and looking for some very specific profile.
