Hi there,

First of all, make sure that you actually need to be familiar with these things or not. Most consulting interviews focus on skills, not knowledge, so it would be worth clarifying this point before spending all the time before the interview on it.

Now, in terms of how you can a good synthesis of these industries - AI is actually a decent source, at least for high level information. I would then focus specifically on the sort of work that DHL consulting does so you're even more targeted.

Best,
Cristian

First thing: find out the exact interview format. Check online (Glassdoor, Reddit, consulting forums) or reach out to someone at DHL Consulting if possible. You need to know if it’s behavioral, case-based, or a combo of both — that will shape how you prep.

Assuming there’s a case component, your goal over the next 2–3 days is to get smart on DHL’s business and core industry trends so you can bring real insight into the discussion.

1. About DHL & Its Consulting Arm

  • What is DHL Consulting’s role within the broader DHL group?
  • Who are their internal clients (supply chain, logistics, operations, e-commerce, etc.)?
  • What types of projects do they typically run (transformation, ops, network design, digital, etc.)?
  • What’s unique about an internal consulting model vs external firms?

2. Logistics & Supply Chain Trends

  • What are the top trends in logistics today? (e.g., automation, AI/ML in routing, green logistics, nearshoring)
  • How are customer expectations shifting in e-commerce logistics?
  • What’s the impact of inflation, labor shortages, or ESG on supply chains?

3. DHL Strategy & Competitive Positioning

  • What’s DHL’s global strategy right now?
  • How do they differentiate vs competitors like FedEx, UPS, Amazon Logistics?
  • What new initiatives, partnerships, or innovations are they investing in?

4. Case Angle Readiness (here are some examples and I would assume you can learn more by skimming the "our client" section on the website)

  • How would you structure a case around optimizing delivery routes, entering a new logistics market, or improving warehouse efficiency?
  • Can you speak to how data/tech is changing operations in logistics?
  • Are you able to link your insights to practical business trade-offs?

Good luck and hope it helps!

Hi there,

First of all, congratulations on the invitation from DHL Consulting!

I would be happy to share my thoughts on your question:

  • First of all, contrary to what other coaches have said, general information from online forums or AI tools will rarely help you be well prepared for your upcoming interviews.
  • Moreover, instead, I would strongly advise you to work with an experienced coach like me, who is very familiar with the DHL Consulting interview process and can guide you to success.

You can find more on this topic here: How to succeed in the final interview round.

If you would like a more detailed discussion on how to best prepare for your upcoming DHL Consulting interviews, please don't hesitate to contact me directly.

Best,

Hagen

Hi,

contrary to what other coaches state, you do not need a coach for everything.

This is a great use case for AI. However, I would use more than one, contrast the results and apply common sense.

Best,
Lukas
