How to leverage BCG internal job board to seek corporate strategy role

Hi everyone, I’m currently a consultant at BCG exploring opportunities in Corporate Strategy. I’ve heard from several McKinsey alumni that their internal job board was very helpful in their transition.

I recently started exploring the BCG internal job board, but I’ve found it less effective than expected. The listings don't specify their origin and seem to overlap significantly with public platforms (like LinkedIn), rather than being exclusive to BCG.

I’d love to hear from anyone who has successfully navigated their exit via the internal board:

Direct Value: How specifically did this platform contribute to your job search success?
Networking: How can I better leverage this platform to connect with the right stakeholders or hiring managers?
Benchmarking: Are the McKinsey or Bain internal platforms significantly different or more 'exclusive' in nature?"

It is a very helpful platform curated for very specific roles to support transition of people looking to move to industry.
