Hello. I would like to know what is the best time to apply to MBB's firms specifically Mckinsey & Company in Dubai's office in year 2026. Is there specific requirement timeline implied?

Ex-McKinsey and Roland Berger; I get you consulting-ready ✌️

It depends on the specific role you are applying for and that role will in turn depend on what your background is. Meaning for each level of education/experience there is a different entry role. Go on their website (mckinsey careers) and choose your degree and preferred office location (Dubai/UAE) and you will see what process they use.

Sometimes McK has application deadlines for specific roles and processes them in batch. In that case you have to look out for these dates. Otherwise, many applications are on a rolling basis, meaning you can apply at any time. If it is on a rolling basis there is no better or worse time to apply. They will all be treated equally.

Depends on whether you are a fresh grad or experienced hire.

For fresh grad, typically aligned with your school's recruitment cycle if you are at a target school. If not, rely on soft referrals to get your foot in the door, that is what really moves the application forward.

For experienced hire, there is no fixed window. Get a sense through networking on which practices might be looking for specific profiles, especially if the role is not listed on the portal. Referrals in the Middle East are generally the way to go, much more than online applications.

Good luck !

There are already a few good replies here, so I’ll just add one point. I have insights that confirm that the job market in the Middle East has slowed strongly due to the broader macroeconomic situation, and many companies have paused hiring for now. For that reason, I would suggest applying from September onwards, hoping that the overall situation may have improved

Ex-Bain | Help 500+ aspirants secure MBB offers

McKinsey Dubai runs two cycles each year.

Fall is the bigger one. Applications open late August and close by mid to late October. Interviews run October to December, with offers usually out by January.

Spring is smaller. Applications open February to March and close by April. Offers come through by July.

Experienced hire roles are different, they get posted year-round. Apply fast when you see one.

Dubai is pretty relationship-driven, and headcount has tightened a bit in 2026. So apply early in the cycle, and definitely use a referral if you can get one.

If I were you, I'd target the fall cycle. Get your CV polished by August and spend the summer networking.

Good luck.

10% off 1st session | Ex-McKinsey Consultant & Interviewer | PEI | MBB Prep | Ex-BCG

hello!

I would argue that the best time to apply is always tied to your graduation date, not the calendar year; as a rule of thumb, they recruit 8–12 months before your intended start, so for a 2026 start you should target summer–early fall 2025, since the Dubai office follows a fairly standard global cycle with applications opening around August/September and interviews running shortly after.

Best, Alessa

Hi there,

It depends on whether you are now a student or already working, because there are different tracks for this.

Previously, with the McK candidates I worked with for the Dubai office, they got in touch with the recruiter to confirm their target role, the process and the timeline. I would recommend you do the same.

And if you need any help, drop me a line.

Best,
Cristian
