GPA Decimal Points

My GPA is 3.68. I'm wondering if it's acceptable if I put 3.7 / 4.0 on my resume? Since I heard that 3.7 GPA is a standard for MBB firms.

Hi there,

yes, it is totally fine to round it – you are not lying doing so and will make a better impression.

Best,

Francesco

Hi There,

Not sure which office you are referring to, but in Southeast Asia, the GPA requirement is definitely not that high.

Your GPA at 3.68 is considered very strong already, so I don't think rounding it up will help anything.

Hope this helps.

Hi Anonymous,

3.7 is good and OK rounding, 4.0 seems to much to me...

Hope this helps - if so, please be so kind and give it a thumbs-up with the green upvote button below!

Hello!

I would always round to one decimal.

3.7 seems good

4.0 is not accurate, since it seems "perfection" when it´s not

3.68 is too much information for the level of a CV

Hope it helps!

Cheers,

Clara

Hi there,

Yes, that’s totally fine to round your GPA. No one will check it.

Do you need any further help?

All the best,
