EY Parthenon - Middle East - Interview Tips

Hi Guys,

I have my EY Parthenon, Middle East (Senior Consultant) interview coming up next week. Can somebody guide me on -  is there any specific case topic (mkt entry/ M&A/ growth strategy) which EYP like to ask more?

Do they ask mkt sizing like BCG or are they more focussed on business situations cases?

Also, any guidance/ clues on fit questions would be really appreciated.

Thanks!

Hi there,

I used to be a recruiter for EY-P (not in the Middle East, though). EY-P is very strong in Private Equity and M&A overall, so your instinct is correct:

  • There's a higher probability of having one of the three types of cases you mentioned.
  • Yes, you should definitely expect market sizing questions.

Feel free to reach out to discuss in detail.

Hi there,

I helped a good number of candidates of EYP and know several questions they asked, although not in the Middle East. The most common types I found are:

  • Market sizing
  • Market entry
  • Cost decrease

They may also ask M&A questions.

If you need help please feel free to PM me.

Best,

Francesco

Market entry and M&A (synergies, cost reduction) type cases are popular in EYP based on my experience with candidates recently. Regardless, prepare comprehensively and don't leave any gaps.

Hi there,

PE and M&A are surely the most common here and areas you need to be extremely familiar with.

That said, please don't make the mistake of going in expecting something. You will only be caught off gaurd, be rigid in your approach, and perform poorly if what you expect doesn't happen!

Prepare for PE/M&A of course. But please please also be prepared for any case type and market sizing as well.

Hello,

I am also hearing a lot of M&A and some PE from candidates. That being said, remember this is no guarantee that you will get those types of cases. I would continue to prepare all types of cases, perhaps putting extra focus on the M&A and PE ones.
