Does Bain Düsseldorf office have many Japanese company clients?

Hi! I have a few questions upon deciding on my office preferences.

I'm looking to apply to Bain Düsseldorf office as first choice. As I do not speak fluent German, I wanted to know if speaking native level Japanese would be a plus as Düsseldorf has a considerate number of Japanese companies.

When writing my office preference and reasonings in my cover letter, would it make sense to say that I am choosing Düsseldorf office as I like the city and I can leverage on Japanese language and communication skills when the office has Japanese company clients (since Bain has local staff modelling and geographical demands matters?).

Also, if I don't speak fluent German, does Amsterdam office make more sense or is German fluency not a requirement in German office?

Thanks so much for your help!

Hi there,

Not sure to be honest, however, this is a great networking topic you could start your discussions with HR and current consultants!

Gets your foot in the door as well.

Cheers,

Florian
