Do you have to retake pymetrics if you reapply to BCG after 18 months?

Assuming you apply with the same email/phone number.

Hi there,

I think this is an interesting question that may be relevant for many people. I would be happy to share my thoughts on it:

  • While I do not know whether the cut-off point is after 18 months, I can say, contrary to what another coach said, that pre-interview assessments are never valid for eternity.
  • Still, I would highly advise you to reach out to the recruiter to inquire about this. Chances are high that even if you need to redo BCG's online test in 18 months, the recruiter might make a note on your profile so that you do not.

If you would like a more detailed discussion on how to address your specific situation, please don't hesitate to contact me directly.

Best,

Hagen

Hi there,

there's no black or what answer to this - depends on geography, which test you took (Chatbot vs older online test versions) and especially your initial results. Tendency is that if you met the threshold the first time, the firm might waive the requirement. If that wasn't the case, you usually have to re-do it.

Hope this helps.

Regards, Andi

Hello A,

It depends on the region, but in my experience if you have “passed it” the first time, you do not need to retake the pymetrics test.

Good luck!

Victoria

Hi there,

It is more likely that you have to take it than not. However, it does depend, and, ultimately, they will tell you (once you apply).
