Do BCG Summer Internship 1R interviews come out in waves or all at once?

Based on what I've seen, BCG sends interview invitations in waves, especially for large offices. 

Since you were told you'll hear back by July 15, I wouldn't read too much into not receiving an invitation on July 10. Until the stated deadline passes, you're still in the process.

BCG Summer internship invites do come out in waves, especially for large offices like NYC and Chicago. July 10 was the first big batch, but it’s not the only one. In past cycles, BCG has released a second wave 2–5 days later, and sometimes even a small final batch right on the stated deadline. So if you didn’t hear on July 10, your process isn’t over. The online systems and staffing teams don’t move perfectly in sync, and big offices often stagger their outreach.

What matters is the official “hear back by July 15” timeline => until that passes, you’re still in the running.

• Applying to two offices adds moving parts. NYC and Chicago run their own timelines and are both very large offices, so they may not release on the same day.
• Use these days as extra prep. If the invite comes, the next step usually follows shortly after, so you'll be glad you spent the wait practising rather than refreshing your inbox.

What most people get wrong is assuming the process is completely over if they do not get an invite on the very first day. Major offices like NYC and Chicago handle massive volumes of applications. They release invites in batches, often grouped by target schools, non-target tracks, or specific referral categories.

What actually matters is the July 15 deadline they gave you. Until that date passes, your application is still very much alive in the system. Recruiters frequently roll out waves right up until the final hour, and silence before the deadline does not automatically mean a rejection.

Nobody can really tell for sure, unless they're the recruiter sending it out. 

Typically, they go in waves from what I've noticed rather than all at once, but it doesn't mean it has to be this way now. 

Try not to read too much into it (I know that can be hard).
