Hey there,

Without knowing your performance on case and personal fit/ PEI, it is quite difficult to give an honest assessment.

My general advice would be:

1.Keep the overall workload light. After 100 cases, there should be nothing at this stage that you could significantly improve on (given that you learned and internalized the right habits for the case and prepared proper stories that actually hit the dimensions that consulting firms are looking for). Did you ever get an honest evaluation of your skills? Some candidates need 3 sessions with a coach and learn exactly the right approach while others conduct 100+ sessions, repeating the same faulty patterns, habits, and make the same mistakes over and over again.

2. Work on your perceived weaknesses in 3-5 peer case interviews, and conduct several chart, math, and structuring drills + speak through your stories and personal fit answers with a few friends (check out my answer here: https://www.preplounge.com/en/consulting-forum/how-to-prepare-for-a-case-study-10480) or alternatively do one final finetuning session with a McKinsey, BCG, or Bain coach (depending who you are interviewing with).

3. The closer you get to the interview, the less you should be doing and the more focus should be on enjoyable experiences to free your mind.

All the best for your interviews!

Cheers,

Florian

Hey,

Have a look at this thread for a very very similar question: https://www.preplounge.com/en/consulting-forum/what-should-i-do-in-4-days-to-the-interview-day-10479

In summary: Just keep working on your weaker areas. Practice PEI questions really well to ensure your anwers are punchy, engaging and stand out. Be well rested as you get closer to the day.

Hi there,

It's honestly really hard to say what you should do as we haven't assessed your strengths and weaknesses!

That said, I can still advise the following:

  1. Get a full assessment on your casing level (from a colleague in consulting, an assigned case buddy from MBB, or a coach)
  2. Don't underestimate FIT - test getting asked a range of questions and having to respond outlout
  3. Don't underestimate market sizing
  4. Please don't kill yourself casing...100+ is plenty (even too much)
  5. Review old cases
  6. Rest the day before

Good luck!

Hi, I would do only a couple of cases to maintain the flow and the fluency. Instead, I would focus on leveraging all the case you already solved and on the fit stories

Best,

Hello!

Congrats, +100 cases is impresive! I would only do one every second day now.

However, I would encourage you to work hard on the FIT, since you comment you have only prepared it partially. If you want to deep dive on the topic, the "Integrated FIT guide for MBB" has been recently published in PrepLounge´s shop (https://www.preplounge.com/en/shop/tests-2/integrated-fit-guide-for-mbb-34)

It provides an end-to-end preparation for all three MBB interviews, tackling each firms particularities and combining key concepts review and a hands-on methodology. Following the book, the candidate will prepare his/her stories by practicing with over 50 real questions and leveraging special frameworks and worksheets that guide step-by-step, developed by the author and her experience as a Master in Management professor and coach. Finally, as further guidance, the guide encompasses over 20 examples from real candidates.

Furthermore, you can find a Expert Article on PreLounge fully dedicated to Behavioural questions, one of the key building blocks of FIT:

https://www.preplounge.com/en/behavioral-interview-questions

In adition to that, you can find 2 free cases in the PrepL case regarding FIT preparation (motivational quesitons and Intro & CV questions:

Motivational questions > https://www.preplounge.com/en/management-consulting-cases/fit-interview/intermediate/motivational-questions-fit-interview-preparation-201
