Conversation about your candidature-Zoom meetings- mckinsey

Hi everyone

After two weeks of completing the gaming test, I am invited to have a conversation with the recruiter to understand my fitment for the role.

Did I pass the gaming test or there will be an interview anyway regardless of the result?
I wonder is it phone screening or interview?
what is your thought about it

Thank you for your help

Hi there,

It sounds like they are trying to figure out what sort of role you're most suitable for. I would assume the discussion is not a formal interview (as in it won't directly impact your chances of being accepted), however I would spend some time to prepare for the call. A few things you should do:

1. Research the roles that are available and that would be relevant for you.

2. Think through your past professional and academic experience to understand the sort of roles you'd be most suitable for

3. Research a bit the person you're likely to have the call with and prepare a few questions to ask them (ideally not questions that you'd be able to answer yourself using google - interviewers hate those).

Good luck!

Hi there,

You passed the test but this is either a phone screening or simply a conversation to figure out what role you should be interviewed for.

You should treat this as if it's a phone screening and be prepared to talk through your resume, your interest in consulting, the role you think you're fit for, etc.

Good luck!

Hi!

The call will not have a direct impact on your recruitment next steps, but I'd definitely spend some time preparing the basic questions (Presentation, Why consulting, Why McK) and research some positions where you could be a good fit.

Good luck,

Anto

Hi there,

Are you talking about McKinsey? It seems you passed the test and you are going to have an initial call with HR on fit/motivation only. I would clarify with them if the call indeed includes only fit questions and not a case, just to be sure.

Best,

Francesco

You appear to have passed Imbellus - otherwise you would have got a rejection mail.

The recruiter probably want to discuss your profile and then see where you would fit best. Try to be prepared to talk about your profile, experience and other fit elements.
