Hi there,

Q: Say you are in the interview process, can you still update your CV at MBB?

If you have been already invited to interviews, I don’t see specific advantages in updating the CV unless there is a very relevant change/mistake, as it has been already screened and you passed the screening.

In case of a very significant change, you can send the new one to HR if needed, explaining that you have a new updated version you would like to share.

Good luck!

Francesco

Hi there,

I would be happy to share my thoughts on your question:

  • First of all, once your CV has been submitted and the application process has started, it's generally not common practice to update your CV. This is because your initial CV has already been screened and forms the basis for your selection to the interview rounds.
  • Moreover, updating your CV midway can be seen as unorganized or uncertain about your initial submission. It's essential to present a consistent and confident image to both the recruiter and interviewers.
  • Lastly, if there's a significant achievement or update that you believe is crucial to share, I would advise you to bring it up during the interview verbally rather than updating the CV.

If you would like a more detailed discussion on how to best prepare for your upcoming interviews, please don't hesitate to contact me directly.

Best,

Hagen

Yes, you can certainly update your CV during the interview process at MBB. It is important to keep your CV up to date with any new experiences, achievements, or skills that you have acquired. This will help ensure that you present the most accurate and comprehensive picture of your qualifications to the interviewers. However, it is advisable to inform the recruiting team or your point of contact about any updates you make to your CV, especially if you have already submitted an earlier version

Hi there!

Theoretically, no.

Practically, yes.

If you actually have fundamental changes that you'd like to make then reach out to the interviewer and ask them to update the CV.

If the changes are minor, then don't bother.

Best,
Cristian

Hi there,

After your CV have passed the screening and you have started the interview process, there doesn't make much sense to change it. If there is any relevant point you'll like to add, you can naturally and verbally add it during the interviews.

Best,

Alberto

Hello there,

Yes, you can still update your CV at MBB while you are in the interview process. This is something that typically happens if you applied and your CV was in screening for a while, in fact, it is a good idea to do so if you have any new accomplishments or experiences that you want to share with the company.

However, there are a few things to keep in mind when updating your CV while you are interviewing:

  • Only update your CV if you have something significant to add. If you only have minor changes to make, it is best to wait until after you have completed the interview process or not update it at all.
  • Be aware of the timing. If you already started the interview process, it is best to avoid updating your CV, however, if you just received news that you've been screened and your interviews are coming up its the perfect time. This could be seen as a sign that you are not serious about the position or that you are shopping around for other opportunities. I have had instances where a candidate had a start-up or something completely unique about them that wasn't reflected in the CV but the candidate would voice it over, sometimes it was fine but other times it would be so significant that I would recommend them to amend the CV for the next interviews.
  • Let your recruiter know. If you do update your CV, be sure to let your recruiter know and make sure the interviewer has the latest version during the interview. This will ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about your experience.

    Hope this helps!
