BCG - Specific Office Hiring Situation

I think this is an interesting question that may be relevant for many people. I would be happy to share my thoughts on it:

• While I cannot say for certain about BCG in Germany and Switzerland, as far as I know, they are still hiring. However, please keep in mind that campus recruiting does not exist in those countries. While it is certainly beneficial to come from a target university, they normally do not conduct interviews on campus.
• Moreover, in order to know for certain, I would highly advise you to reach out to the recruiting team or a knowledgable consultant you might know with BCG in Germany or Switzerland.
• Lastly, I would always advise you to just try and see the results.

as far as I heard there are no hiring freezes for BCG Germany or Switzerland. Both are continuously hiring as they also have some fluctuation and people leaving the company.

I am not certain but there might be less hiring overall due to the current uncertainty.

Recruiting is especially focused on entry-level (i.e. right from campus, while not physically on campus) as well as project leader level.

Definitely give it a try, there is no advantage in waiting for the right time because BCG hires across the year.

My understanding is that Europe is certainly slowing down. In general, even when experience hire recruiting is full, these firms do still hire through the university recruiting channels (undergrad and MBA). Even in bad years, they still do hire (just smaller amounts).

Remember, every country, role, channel, etc. is different. Your university might not have any slots but others do. Or, vice-versa.

Talk to your university! Talk to consultants at these firms (network). Therein lies your definitive answer!

I do not have specifics around what you have asked. But I have seen classmates from my business school getting offers from BCG Germany recently.

However, your best bet is to be cautious as Europe is slowing down. However, if you have background in an in-demand talent pool, then they will hire (e.g. Tech/Data).

short answer is, BCG keeps hiring on campus in this particular geography. 

While it is true that recruiting has slowed down a bit, given macroeconomic circumstances, there's still a fair volume of hiring happening at the moment and many candidates are being sent through the funnel. For strong candidates, nothing to worry about.
