BCG Recruiting Process

The BCG Online Case (also called Casey Chatbot Interview) is an 8-10 questions test BCG now used globally. It is structured in 2 parts:

• 8-10 questions to be taken in 25-30 minutes
• 1 video interview question at the end, where you usually have to provide a recommendation in 1 minute

2) For how long should I prepare? Thank you!

If you use the simulation above, I would allocate 1 hour to each simulation to do the case and review the answers (so 6 hours in total) plus 1 hour to read the pdf guide. So overall, with 7 hours you should have a solid preparation.

Congrats on the interview invite!

Look up ‘BCG Casey’ online, and you're going to start seeing lots of examples.

Basically, the test is a computer version of a case study and is trying to see if you have the basic skills to make it worth interviewing you. 

Aside from doing actual cases as practice, to improve your ability around numerical, I would recommend that you practice on McKinsey PST tests (the format they were using before the current game) and GMAT questions. 

The more you practice, the better you'll be.

As it turns out I have 5 of the past real BCG cases (with answer keys). So, of course I'd recommend that!

There are a few resources out there to help you prepare, but a few callouts from myself on preparing with these materials

• Some prep materials are better quality than others - so do take a critical mind/eye to whatever materials you are using
• It is important to learn and build the right fundamentals, and not memorize answers or hope that one of your prep material is repeated → this is because you never can anticipate what you might be shown
