BCG Pymetrics test

Hello everyone. I received an invitation to perform pymetrics for BCG. I applied to ME office through an employee referral.

I'm curious as I have thought that BCG's online assessment included a chatbot case and a potential test. I didn't know they did pymetrics honestly.

  1. Is this an extra step to the chatbot case test?
  2. How is the pymetrics performance assessed and what makes a terrible performance?

Appreciate any help!

Thanks.

Hi there,

I think this is an interesting question that may be relevant for many people. I would be happy to share my thoughts on it:

  • First of all, I feel that it might be irritating that BCG uses two different pre-interview assessments, sometimes even within the same country or office.
  • Based on the information provided to me and the experience of my coachees, you either have to solve the BCG Casey or BCG potential test, but not both of them.
  • The final decision on whether to invite you for the next round of interviews will be based on a combination of your BCG potential test score and the other application files.

If you would like a more detailed discussion on how to best prepare for the BCG potential test and your upcoming BCG interviews, please don't hesitate to contact me directly.

Best,

Hagen

Hello A,

  1. Yes, this is an additional step that BCG ME recently added to the recruitment process (I think in September). I assume you are currently pursuing an MSc or MBA degree?
  2. I cannot provide you with specific details on what defines good performance on the test, as it is similar to any other Pymetrics test, and I don't have more information on how much it counts in the process of selection. I guess it is too soon for that:/ But I would guess that it should be the least of your concerns. Just do your research and you'll be fine.

Best regards,

Victoria

Hi there,

Is this an extra step to the chatbot case test?

It is a different step. It may or may not be paired with the chatbot…they will let you know

How is the pymetrics performance assessed and what makes a terrible performance?

It's assessed based on the questions you get right. A terrible performance is getting a lot of questions wrong! Just like the GMAT/GRE, you need to try to get as many questions right as possible.

I highly highly recommend you do as many practice tests as you need to do in order to continuously score well on them.
