BCG Platinion: IT Consultant Ave. Salary in Europe

Hi,

Does anyone have insights on BCG Platinion salary package & sign on bonus in western / northern Europe, for the position IT Consultant?

I've searched on Glassdoor and Indeed, but very limited information. I want to know an average range so that I can better negotiate the offer.

Thanks!

Hi there,

Generally Platinion pays on par with “regular” consultants.

By the way, Western Europe (e.g. Spain) is inherently going to be different to Northern Europe (e.g. Sweden), but you're look at somewhere between 80k and 120k.

For negotiation, remember that it's going to be hard to negotiate on base salary. You should aim to focus on negotiating for the things that are “easy” for them to change. Consider hiring a coach for negotiation support! I personally doubled my signing bonus, among other things, through successful negotiation. Pretty easily pays back the few hundred you would spend for expert advice!

Hi there,

You can also use this as a networking question. Contact people who have joined the firm in that particular role within the last 6 months. Seek to understand from them how the recruitment process works and then also ask them for a high-level understanding of the compensation structure. Most people will be quite transparent about it.

Best,
Cristian

Dear candidate, depends on the offer, usually around 100k but can vary widely, consider items such as bonus, compensation, benefits, firm car, firm memberships like pension and saving plans as well as how fast the salary advancement cycle is. Best regards, pope
