BCG online case - 1st step

Hello everyone,

I received an invitation from BCG to start the recruitment process with a 30 minutes online case. (This is an automated case and different than the zoom interview with a consultant).

What is the best way to prepare for this case? Any advices?

Thank you in advance!

Hi there,

This is a simulation of a case that you do with a chatbot. It's meant to test whether you have the basic skills that you'd need to display during the actual interview (so as to make it worth interviewing you).

If you've been preparing for interviews already, then you should perform fine. You can google for a few examples of the test online.

Best,
Cristian

The BCG Online Case (also called Casey Chatbot Interview) is an 8-10 questions test BCG now used globally. It is structured in 2 parts:

  • 8-10 questions to be taken in 25-30 minutes
  • 1 video interview question at the end, where you usually have to provide a recommendation in 1 minute

If you want to prepare for the Online Case in the best possible way, I created a software simulation replicating specifically the chatbot and one-way video interview.

It includes the following and more:

  • 4 Casey Software Simulations of the Chatbot. These are live chatbots simulating exactly the same chatbot environment of the test (meaning you will receive questions from an actual chatbot with a flow equivalent to the one of the test).
  • 4 One-Way Video Interviews. These come with Artificial Intelligence reports, so that you can see how the software will perceive your performance in terms of voice, speech clarity, energy and more.
  • 2 PDF Simulations of the Chabot. These are additional tests Casey-style, meaning you will have 6 different Casey Chatbots to train with overall.
  • Free access to 6 PSTs and Potential Tests for further practice.
  • Deep explanation of all the 5 types of questions asked in the BCG Online Case thanks to the complimentary 144-page guide.

You can get access to the software simulation and guide instantly here:

For any questions on the test please feel free to PM me, I will reply within 12 hours.

Best,

Francesco

Hi there,

First: Learn to Case

The more you can solve cases, build up business judgement, learn case math, practice chart/exhibit interpretation, the better.

Casing is a pre-requisite to being good at the BCG online case (go figure!)

Second: Get Practicing

Leverage all of the practice materials online and just practice, practice, practice. Get familiar with all of the question types and diligently do question after question to get better.

Hello,

The format of the case (e.g., the prompt, question structure) is going to be fairly similar to a standard case interview - the only difference is that you are doing it with a Chatbot, not with a person. So I would recommend preparing in exactly the same way as you would for a standard case interview (let me know if you want more advice on that?), with one caveat. Interviewing with a Chatbot can feel a little weird if you haven't done it before, so I would recommend finding some Chatbot case simulators online, and practicing a few times with them just so you get used to a computer asking you questions. Best of luck!
