BCG first round interview turnover

Hi

I've applied for the first year associate at BCG and I had my 2nd first round interview since this late August with one of the principle in the region.

Currently, there was no response from BCG. I followed up 2 weeks after and HRs promised me to reach out the following day; however, I have not heard back from them since.

Should I consider this as a rejection? or Should I follow up with them again since it has been about a month already?

Thank you!

Hi there,

If it's already been a month it's not a great sign, but it's by no means over until they actually tell you the result.

It's possible there are a few logistical issues/considerations resulting in the delay.

Since it's been 2 weeks I think it's perfectly fair to reach out again (just reply to the previous email).

Fingers crossed for you!

Follow up with them. HR make mistakes on the scheduling the whole time. They have hundreds of candidates to coordinate and since your process seems to have been cut in half it is very likely that it felt within the cracks.

So don't assume yet it is a rejection. Talk to HR, and if within a week you don't receive a reply, I would even suggest reaching out to the Principal that interviewed you.

You will always receive a communication - whether it is a rejection or acceptance. So don't worry - it is only a delay.

Further, a delay is no indicator of the outcome - at all!

Keep pursuing HR on a regular basis (weekly) - it will not have an impact on the outcome since HR is the messenger. The decision is made by the interviewers.
