BCG Experienced Hire

Hi community -

Let me start off by saying thank you to this community and platform for answering my questions - it means a lot to me.

Question - I submitted my BCG experienced hire application around a month ago and after my submission, my location selection in the applications portal said "multiple locations" for a few weeks. But when I checked today, it says "Boston" now, which is what I listed as my primary choice. Does that mean that they are moving forward and my application is currently reviewed for Boston office? Or that is just an automated update.

Thanks for your time reading this and have a great day!

hey

that sounds like a good sign! usually when the portal updates to a specific office, it means your application is being reviewed by that location—so likely not just an automated update. it doesn't guarantee anything yet, but it's a step forward. fingers crossed, and feel free to reach out if you get to the interview stage!

best, Alessa 😊

The same thing happened to me! I applied to the NY office through the experienced hire portal in April, and hadn't heard back, but when I checked the status this morning, it had changed to the Boston office. I was shocked, but Boston could be a good fit too!

Regarding your question, it means that your application has now been allocated to the Boston office and they are studying it at the moment. You should hear back from them soon.

Hi there,

Looks like your application might be moving to the Boston office — congrats on that! 😊

For anything specific (timelines, logistics, what to expect next), your recruiter is the best person to ask. They’ll have the most accurate info and can guide you based on your exact process.

Best,

Alberto

Hello there,

Fingers crossed, I agree with the coaches above. In the meantime, get familiar with the online assessment and start learning about case interview since the windows between the recruiting process phases are usually short.

Best,

Mari
