BCG Dubai final round- only one interview

Hi everyone

I had my first round of interviews with two partners at BCG Dubai office 3 weeks ago and I was told by the recruiter that I passed round 1 (none of my interviewers called me to give feedback) and they have scheduled only one interview for my final round! They had mentioned in the beginning of the process that they dont have availability in the office for interview, but Im still very confused why I had interviews with partners in round 1 and why round 2 is only one interview! has anyone else here had the same experience?

Hi Gloria,

Why I had interviews with partners in round 1 and why round 2 is only one interview!

Having partners in round one is rare but may happen sometimes in MBB. May be due to the availability of the team.

One interview only in the final is also unusual. Possibly you had a very good performance in the first round, which is why they structured it differently.

Sounds like they're struggling to find multiple interviews (things are busy) and/or you performed well enough in the 1st round that they're comfortable doing just one final assessment.

At BCG - Partners are one level below the “real” partners who are known as Managing Director & Partner (MDP).

Hence P taking R1 is okay.

It is quite possible that your R1 performance was very solid, hence only 1 interview in R2. Don't read too much into such things. Just give your 100% into each interview.

One of my interviewers was a partner, but the other one had Partner and Managing Director title.
