BCG ASPIRE 2026 - How to prepare for Games Assessment?

Good morning everyone,

I’ve been invited to complete BCG’s Aspire 2026 Games Assessment. From what I understand, it’s a gamified assessment featuring a series of interactive exercises designed to evaluate workplace-related skills and behavioral preferences—such as how you think and work, the environments you thrive in, and how you collaborate with others.

I’d really appreciate it if anyone who has gone through this process could share their experience. What were the games like? What competencies are they assessing? And how would you recommend preparing for it?

Thanks in advance for your insights!

This format is rather new.

You might find a few bits of information here on the platform.

Do also check YouTube for direct accounts.

And don't hesitate to also reach out to the recruiter and ask them to share any additional information that they might have to enable you to prepare at your best.

Best,
Cristian

Great news, congrats on getting the invite, that’s already a strong signal.

The BCG ASPIRE games assessment is not a classic case. It is more about cognitive skills and behavioral patterns. Expect a mix of logic based mini problems, prioritization tasks, trade off decisions under time pressure, and collaboration style scenarios. They typically assess structured thinking, numerical intuition, pattern recognition, decision making under ambiguity, and consistency in how you approach problems.

You cannot really “study” for it in the traditional sense. The best prep is to practice mental math, basic logic puzzles, and staying calm under time pressure. Also be consistent in your choices in the behavioral parts, they look for coherent patterns rather than perfect answers.

Most importantly, do it well rested, distraction free, and with a stable internet connection. Treat it seriously but don’t overthink it.

The games measure how you think under pressure, handle ambiguity, and make decisions when there is no clear right answer. Doing logic puzzles the night before will not move the needle.

What actually helps is showing up rested and focused. Do it when your mind is fresh, somewhere quiet, with no distractions.

Read the instructions carefully before each game. A lot of people lose points simply because they misunderstood what was being asked.

On the behavioral sections, do not try to game it. They are looking for consistency, not a perfect personality type. Overthinking it usually backfires.

Show up sharp, take it seriously, and do your best.
