Hi all,
Looking for some perspective from ex-Bainies and anyone who’s been through Bain Southeast Asia recruiting, especially as an Experienced Hire.
Timeline so far:
- Late July — invited to 1R interviews for a Consultant role, Bain Ho Chi Minh City in August. I asked for a defer. HR said fine and would move the interview to Sep-Oct
- End of August — recruiting replied that there was no availability in September, and that they were now looking at a November–January window, and would let me know once dates were confirmed
- Mid-October — I followed up to ask about timing. No reply yet
My questions:
- Does a pushed window like this signal anything about my candidacy, or is it purely logistical?
- What’s the right follow-up cadence from here without being a nuisance?
- For experienced hires — any tips on using the extra prep time well? I’m currently doing daily drills plus peer weekly sessions.
Thanks in advance!
