No background check on FIT stories, but McK does so deep on PEI that it is hard to cheat. Warm regards, Frederic
Hi there,
I would be happy to share my thoughts on your question:
If you would like a more detailed discussion on your specific situation, please don't hesitate to contact me directly.
Best,
Hagen
Hi,
Typically this does not happen… unless you mention something that sounds very fish/hard to believe.
What is your concern? It's normally fine to talk about experiences that aren't listed explicitly in your CV during the fit/behavioural portion.
Hi there,
Normally there is no background check on your fit stories. The interviewer can go really deep with your story questions (e.g., recalling a specific conversation). If he/she is afraid your story is not entirely true, you can be requested to work on a different story.
I suggest you select good and relatively recent stories to remember all relevant details and avoid this situation.
Best,
Alberto

Hi there,
They will not check your fit stories.
However, careful with the difference between bending the truth/exageratting and outright liying!
Hi there,
1) Is a background check conducted on anything other than the positions you mentioned on your CV?
Background checks normally cover the work and university experience you mentioned you have in the application.
2) Is anything that you say in an interview that is not on your CV actually subject to a background check?
If something is not related to the categories above, in theory it should not be covered by a background check. Regardless, I would just say the truth during the interview, including for your fit stories.
Good luck!
Francesco
Background checks conducted by firms like Strategy& typically focus on the information provided on your CV, including your education and employment history. The purpose of these checks is to verify the accuracy and legitimacy of the information you have provided. However, it is important to note that anything you say during the interview process, even if not explicitly mentioned on your CV, may be subject to further scrutiny or verification. Therefore, it is crucial to be truthful and transparent throughout the interview process.
No you're fine.
Most background checks are focused on education history, employment history and criminal background check. They also check social media sometimes and maybe reach out to people for 1:1 feedback on your performance but that is rare.
Hi there!
No, they only check the most recent employers.
Sometimes they also do criminal record check and academic check.
It's usually something that's outsouced to a professional firm that does the background check. If you were straightforward with your CV and you didn't purposefully mislead them, then you have nothing to worry about.
Best,
Cristian
