Average salary

for an entry level consultant / Junior consultant in  McKinsey Dubai. On average, how much can you earn monthly?

I don't need the actual figure, just an estimate.

Hi there,

For an entry-level or Junior Consultant at McKinsey in Dubai, you can expect a competitive package relative to the local market. While exact figures vary by year and office, a rough monthly estimate for base salary (before bonuses/allowances) is typically in the range of around AED 18,000–25,000 per month.

In addition to base pay, many firms in the Middle East also include benefits such as:

  • Annual performance bonus
  • Housing allowance or support
  • Relocation allowance
  • Flights/home leave benefits
  • Medical insurance

If you just want a sense of where to look rather than specific numbers, there are a few good sources that regularly publish compensation data for consulting roles, including entry-level positions in Dubai/Middle East:

1. Levels.fyi – This site aggregates crowd-sourced salary data across firms, roles, and locations. You can search for McKinsey, “Business Analyst,” “Junior Consultant,” or nearby seniorities and filter by UAE or other Middle East locations.

2. Glassdoor / Indeed – These sites often have salary ranges submitted by employees and interview candidates. Searching “McKinsey Dubai salary” or “consultant UAE base salary” can give you an approximate band and benefits insights.

3. Linkedin Salaries / Comparably – These tools show estimated salaries by title and location and can be filtered to the Middle East region.

4. MBA/Undergraduate Recruiting Reports – Some business schools publish placement reports that include base salary and bonus ranges for consulting hires by office and region. These are often available on school career sites.

5. Networking with current employees – If you know consultants in the Dubai office (LinkedIn, alumni, referrals), asking them directly about typical package components (housing allowance, flights, bonuses) gives the most up-to-date and context-specific view.

Best,

Evelina

For an entry-level analyst at McKinsey Dubai, expect somewhere around 25,000 to 30,000 AED per month as base salary. Associates make around 50,000 AED per month.

On top of that, you'll get a performance bonus. There are also other benefits like housing allowance, flights home, and health insurance.

The big advantage of Dubai is no income tax. So whatever you earn, you keep. Compared to London or New York, your take-home savings can be significantly higher even if the base salary looks similar or slightly lower on paper.

If you want the exact figure, networking with someone currently at McKinsey Dubai is your best bet.

30k - you become “McKinsey rich”, not paycheck rich. You learn faster than in any other industry, build a brand for life, and open doors everywhere. Hard to put a number on that. :D  and that is why so many people are studying so hard to get in.
best of luck!

I see you've received some good estimates already below.

And there are a few online platforms by now that provide relatively accurate ranges.

But don't hesitate to ask this question also in networking calls with existing consultants. Everybody knows that you get paid to do the job and it plays a role in deciding which firm to go for, which is why it makes sense that you ask.

It's also worth noting that the base salary is non-negotiable for almost all roles, but what is negotiable is the signing and relocation bonus (if applicable, depending on the office)

Best,
Cristian

hey there :)

For an entry-level McKinsey consultant in Dubai, the monthly salary is generally in the ballpark of mid-to-high five figures AED before bonuses. Total compensation can increase noticeably with performance bonuses and benefits.

best,

Likely 25-40K USD per year. Don't hesitate to ask this in your networking calls with Dubai office employees - everyone knows this.
