Those status changes are usually internal system labels and don’t reliably signal a pass or rejection.
“Under review” typically means your application is actively being looked at.
“CC MBR external” is most likely an internal routing code (for example, referring to a committee member or external reviewer stage). When it switches back to “under review,” it often just means your application has moved back into the main workflow after being reviewed or discussed.
In short, this kind of status change is usually administrative rather than evaluative. It does not automatically mean good or bad news.
If you haven’t received a formal update from recruiting, assume the process is still ongoing. The only meaningful signals are direct communication from the recruiter.
