Associate-Life Science at McKinsey

Hi,
I have a PhD in Bioinformatics. I would like to apply for Associate-Life Science position at McKinsey in Switzerland
http://www.mckinsey.com/careers/search-jobs/jobs/associate-life-sciences-9870

Does anybody know if the interview process for this position is different than the one for generalist associate? Does it involve doing case interviews?

Thanks

Hi Anonymous,

the recruiting process at McKinsey is pretty much standardized whatever background you have; therefore yes, unless HR mentioned specifically something different, you will likely go through the traditional case interview (fit questions, cases, your questions at the end).

It is likely you will meet interviewers coming from the life science practice; they may not necessarily ask only cases related to the healthcare industry though, as a way to test how you adapt to other practices as well.

Best,

Francesco
