Are Offeree Weekends evaluative?

Just had an MBB offeree weekend for the summer internship in Europe - really enjoyed it but also was quieter/less social than usual as I was a bit ill. I may be overthinking this, but is there a chance this will affect my chances of getting a full time offer at the end of the summer?

Hi there,

You are completely and utterly safe. Don't worry!

The only risk would be if you had been totally debaucherous (e.g. illegal activities, really poor form, etc.). Being lower key, quieter, etc. is truly not problem at all.

Congrats on the offer :)

Hi there,

Your offer after the summer internship will be mainly drive by your performance during the internship. Period.

As my colleagues mentioned, unless you did something crazy during the event you should be safe so focus on nailing that internship to get the offer!

Best,

Alberto

Absolutely not.

Rest assured, they don't give you the offer based on how social you are.

As long as you didn't climb on the table drunk and naked, you should be fine.

Best,
Cristian

Your offer depends on your summer internship performance. This event is more a final effort from them to make sure you have a good experience and accept an offer than anything else. Of course, being professional at all times is always expected - but you are not being evaluated at that event.

Unless you did something illegal or were very rude to people there, it has 0 impact on whether you get a return offer or not.

Hi there,

You are overthinking this.

These weekends are purely for

  • networking with peers and others in the firm
  • giving people a good time so they decide to take the return offer if they get one

All the best,

Florian

Hi,

congratulations. Exciting times ahead.

Whether or not you will receive a return offer after your internship will depend on how you perform during your internship. That is what is going to matter.

Best of luck
