Amazon Luxembourg – How to Prepare for Online Assessment for Program Manager Role?

Hi everyone,

I recently applied for a Program Manager position at Amazon Luxembourg and just received an email asking me to complete the Online Assessment.

I’d love to hear from anyone who has gone through this process:

  • What exactly does the Online Assessment include for this type of role?
  • How should I prepare effectively (any resources, tips, or things to focus on)?
  • Are there any common traps or mistakes to avoid?
  • Any advice on how to align with Amazon's Leadership Principles during the test?

I come from a strategy consulting background, and this is one of my first applications toward an ops/tech role, so any guidance would be very appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Hi there!

I haven't seen the test, so I can't answer the question directly - hope you'll receive an answer from a candidate here.

If not, I would recommend two things:

1. Reach back to the recruiter and ask for follow-up details. They are happy to help when they see someone keen and they might even have extra resources to share.

2. Contact existing consultants who have recently joined and likely went through the test. Ask them what they found particularly helpful in preparing for it.

Best,
Cristian

hey!

The Online Assessment for Program Manager roles typically includes a Work Simulation, Logical Reasoning, and Work Style Assessment. To prepare, practice situational judgment tests and logic-based questions (similar to SHL or Korn Ferry formats). Align your choices with Amazon's Leadership Principles—especially Ownership, Bias for Action, and Customer Obsession. Read each question carefully, stay consistent with your values, and avoid overthinking. Your consulting background will help—focus on structured thinking, prioritization, and clear communication.

Hi there,

First of all, congratulations on the invitation from Amazon!

I would be happy to share my thoughts on your questions:

  • Rather than trying to gather snippets of information in this forum, I would strongly advise you to reach out to the recruiter, as they are the only ones who will know the exact contents of the current pre-interview assessment.

If you would like a more detailed discussion on your specific situation, please don't hesitate to contact me directly.

Best,

Hagen

Glassdoor is a good source of information for those types of questions. In any case, reach out to the recruiter and ask for more information.
