Accenture Tech Strategy Case Interview

Hi, I'm currently working as a consultant in the Technology Strategy function at Accenture and looking to relocate from Italy to Saudi.

I've passed the fit interview and will now be attending the business case interview. Do you have any tips or insights on the type of case I might face and how best to prepare?

Thanks!

Hi there,

Congrats on progressing to the business case interview stage!

For Accenture Tech Strategy roles, the case interviews typically focus on areas like technology-enabled transformation, IT cost optimization, cloud or ERP strategy, and digital roadmaps. You may be asked to assess a client’s current tech setup, recommend future-state solutions, or outline a high-level implementation plan aligned with business goals.

A few prep tips:

  • Be structured: Clearly lay out your approach—starting from the business objective to tech diagnosis, solution options, and implementation risks.
  • Link tech to impact: Emphasize how technology choices drive business value (e.g., operational efficiency, scalability, customer experience).
  • Know key trends: Brush up on topics like cloud migration, data strategy, AI adoption, or legacy system modernization—especially with relevance to the Saudi market.
  • Practice quantitative analysis: Be comfortable doing back-of-the-envelope calculations related to payback period, investment ROI or cost savings.

I have several friends currently working at Accenture, so I’m more than happy to help with your prep—feel free to reach out!

Best,

Evelina

Hi there,

First of all, congratulations on the progress in the application process with Accenture!

I would be happy to share my thoughts on your question:

  • First of all, I would strongly advise you to clarify the contents of the business case interview with the recruiter, as they are the only ones who know for certain.
  • Moreover, however, since you have gone through a similar process in Italy, I would assume that this interview will cover similar contents.
  • Lastly, the best way to prepare for the business case interview is to work through case studies with peers or an experienced coach like me.

You can find more on this topic here: How to succeed in the final interview round.

If you would like a more detailed discussion on how to best prepare for your upcoming Accenture interviews, please don't hesitate to contact me directly.

Best,

Hagen

Hey there :)

Great job getting through the fit round! For Accenture Tech Strategy, the business case is likely to blend classic strategy (market entry, growth, cost optimization) with a tech twist—think digital transformation, IT operating models, cloud strategy, or platform implementation.

They'll want to see structured thinking, business impact awareness, and tech fluency without diving into coding. Make sure you’re sharp on value creation from tech, and practice breaking down ambiguous prompts into business and tech components. PrepLounge tech cases or simple BCG digital cases are a good fit here.

Happy to send case examples if helpful!

Best,
Alessa :)

Congrats!

If I were you, I would clarify with the interviewer whether the case will have an industry or technical focus. I would expect that it might, so it would be best if you knew that in advance and could prepare accordingly.

Best,
Cristian
