Where would your ideal workation be?

Hey!
A good way to approach this question is to balance personality with professionalism. You want to show that you have interests outside of work, but also that you value an environment where you can still stay productive.
For example, you might say your ideal workation would be somewhere with a mix of calm surroundings and strong connectivity, like a coastal city or a quiet mountain town. This signals that you enjoy balance and know how to manage your time effectively.
You could also highlight how such a setting would help you recharge while still allowing you to focus on work. For instance, being in a new environment could give you fresh perspectives and creativity, while the quieter pace would allow for deep focus. By framing your answer this way, you show that you can adapt to different situations, remain productive, and value a healthy balance of work and personal growth.

I’ve actually done a few workations already and also talked about it a lot with friends. What worked best for me was combining a workation with a short holiday afterward. That way, you already know the area and don’t need time to settle in once the real vacation starts.
For the setup, a proper desk and chair are a must. Somewhere you can really sit and work for 8 hours without discomfort. And of course: reliable Wi-Fi is non-negotiable!

For me, the ideal workation spot would balance reliable Wi-Fi, a calm vibe, and some inspiration outside the screen. Spots like Lisbon, Bali or Lake Como come to mind.
At the end of the day, anywhere with good focus hours + a reason to close the laptop at 6 is a win.
