Online assessments difference

Are there big differences between online assessments at big banks and smaller ones? I've already done one at a smaller bank, but now I want to prepare for the ones at bigger banks... Should I expect different tests or requirements?

Thank you

Big banks usually have longer, more complex assessments with a focus on technical skills and logic. Smaller banks tend to have shorter, simpler tests, often focusing on general aptitude and fit. The process at big banks is more competitive due to higher candidate volume.

Yes, there can be notable differences between online assessments at big banks versus smaller ones. Large banks often use standardized assessments from providers like HireVue, SHL, or Pymetrics, which may include numerical reasoning, situational judgment, and behavioral games.

Smaller banks, on the other hand, may have simpler, more technical-focused tests, like financial modeling or accounting questions, since they prioritize core finance skills over behavioral screening.

If you're preparing for big banks, I’d recommend practicing numerical reasoning tests and behavioral assessments. Also, check specific bank requirements, as they can vary.

Were there any particular challenges in your last test?
