I have a Screening interview with the Recruiter 30 min. What should I expect and it will be held in HireVue. So, it will going to be person or just I have to submit my response?

Hi There,
As HireVue is specialised in on Demand Interviews it is most likely a one-way format, which means you’ll get a set of pre-recorded questions and a time limit to respond. You can find more Information about this format on the HireVue Homepage.

In terms of what to expect, screening interviews typically cover:

  • Your background – “Walk me through your resume” is almost guaranteed. Keep it structured and concise.
  • Why this firm? – Be clear on your motivation and show you’ve done your research.
  • Why this role? – Show that you understand what the job entails and why you’re a great fit.
  • Behavioral questions – Think “Tell me about a time when…” questions. Use the STAR method (Situation, Task, Action, Result) to structure your answers.
  • Basic technicals (possibly) – Some firms include simple finance/accounting questions, but this depends on the role.

Since it’s HireVue, practice speaking clearly and naturally into the camera. You get limited prep time for each question, so don’t panic—just focus on key points and avoid rambling.

Good luck!

Hey! For a 30-minute screening interview in HireVue, it’s usually a pre-recorded interview, meaning you won’t have a live conversation with the recruiter. Instead, you’ll be asked questions, and you’ll record your responses on camera. You typically get a bit of time to think before answering each question, but no live interaction.

Expect to talk about your background, why you’re interested in the role, and maybe some basic competency or behavioral questions.

Good luck! ?
