Just wondering if MS includes a modeling or case component in the final round. Anyone done one recently?
Does Morgan Stanley give modeling tests during Superday?

Hi!
From what I’ve seen, Morgan Stanley’s Superday usually doesn’t include a full, timed modeling test. Instead, they ask technical questions to check your understanding, like “What happens if depreciation goes up by $10 million?” or “Walk me through a DCF.”
They want to see if you know how the financial statements connect and if you’re comfortable with valuation methods, rather than how fast you can build a model. If you’re solid on Excel, financial statements, and DCF/comps, you should be good.
The interviews can be intense, but they focus more on your thought process and knowledge than on a live modeling exercise.
Hope this helps!

Hey There!
Most candidates report that Morgan Stanley does not include a full-scale modeling test during Superday, particularly for analyst or intern roles. Instead, the day typically features technical interview questions, including valuation (DCF, comps) and market-based ones, along with behavioral and fit discussions. Occasionally, there's a light case exercise—but nothing as in-depth as a multi-hour build or custom LBO test—unless you're a lateral hire with specific modeling needs.
Practically, you should prioritize refreshing valuation frameworks, being prepared to walk through a DCF or comparables analysis, and honing your ability to discuss market trends or recent deals. If a brief case appears, treat it more like a structured brainteaser than a model-heavy assignment. That approach aligns closely with candidate feedback and ensures you're well-equipped for the Superday structure.

A friend had a Superday at Morgan Stanley, no modeling test. Mostly technicals (like DCF, valuation) and fit questions. Some groups might include a light case, but no full modeling unless it's a lateral role.
