I don't always have someone to practice with. How did you improve your valuation skills by yourself? Any books or exercises you would recommend?

Hi there,
I mostly improved by working through valuation examples on my own and trying to understand the logic behind the different approaches rather than just memorizing formulas.
I also found it useful to take a company I was familiar with and try to roughly work out how I would value it. For me, repetition was probably the most helpful part. I didn’t always have someone to practice with either, so I tried to make it part of my regular study routine.
Best, Rita
