HI,

I'm curious to know some details about the up our out policy at S& and Kearney in Dubai. What are the main factors that influence such a policy, how are the evaluations made, how frequently, etc..

Any information would be highly appreciated

Hi there,

In general they work through periodic reviews. These occur after projects as well as (normally) twice a year. During these reviews, you get scored across a range of metrics by your project lead, principal, etc.

Your progress is tracked over time and your promotion is reviewed during the promotion/bonus cycle. If you're not performing well and a promotion won't happen in the timeframe that it should your a "encouraged" to leave.

Former Tier 2, now MBB in Dubai. Here to chill :)

Hey,

I'm a MBB consultant in the ME.

Up or out policy is quite similar across the board. Some more transparent than others.

In theory, after every case you should receive a feedback form on how you performed. The summary of all your feedback form creates the basis for your mid year / end of year evaluation.

Depending on how you performed you will be allocated on a matrix. Each quadrant of said matrix determines your window for promotion. If you are below a given threshhold you wont be eligible for promotion and therefore asked to leave (in time)

Hello!

This is a hot topic in the Q&A, and the up or out works very similarly always.

Look for similar threads, there are ones with many many insighful responses, and I am sure you will find a lot of useful info ;)

Hope it helps

Cheers,

Clara

Hello there!

The evaluations typically occur once in 6 months by collecting and reviewing feedback after accomplishing projects. So you need to meet the bar within this period.

It's worth mentioning, though, that some exceptions are possible, if you've been at the job for less than a year, you might be given a chance to improve in the next couple of months.

Hope it helps.
Cheers,
GB
